CAISSON is a new play by Patch Works company member Evan Shaw. Set in 1870, the six-scene play gives us a glimpse into one of the submerged compression chambers used for constructing the concrete foundations of the Brooklyn Bridge. Focusing on the relationships between the men who braved the harsh working conditions, Caisson addresses themes of friendship, American socio-culturalism and duty.
